Forward Electronics Co., Ltd. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2023. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was TWD 193.7 million compared to TWD 198.56 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 4 million compared to net income of TWD 20.2 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.03 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of TWD 0.14 a year ago. Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.03 compared to diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of TWD 0.14 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was TWD 403.49 million compared to TWD 414.08 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 20.79 million compared to net income of TWD 39.27 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.15 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of TWD 0.28 a year ago. Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.15 compared to diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of TWD 0.28 a year ago.
Forward Electronics Co Ltd is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the production and sales of optoelectronics products, information appliance peripheral products and electronic components. The Company's optoelectronics products include backlight modules, liquid crystal display (LCD) modules and light emitting diodes (LEDs). The Company's information appliance peripheral products include game consoles, vehicle anti-collision systems, financial terminal systems, computers, wireless sensing devices and others. Its electronic components consist of switches, variable resistors, bit generators, sensors and others. The Company also provides lighting products. The Company distributes its products within domestic market and to overseas markets.
