Forward Electronics Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 239.800 million compared to TWD 192.543 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 7.979 million compared to TWD 33.284 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 2.710 million compared to TWD 5.267 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.02 compared to TWD 0.03 a year ago. For the half year, sales was TWD 472.922 million compared to TWD 364.832 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 17.972 million compared to TWD 70.662 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 13.614 million compared to net loss of TWD 61.307 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.09 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of TWD 0.39 a year ago.
Forward Electronics Co Ltd is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the production and sales of optoelectronics products, information appliance peripheral products and electronic components. The Company's optoelectronics products include backlight modules, liquid crystal display (LCD) modules and light emitting diodes (LEDs). The Company's information appliance peripheral products include game consoles, vehicle anti-collision systems, financial terminal systems, computers, wireless sensing devices and others. Its electronic components consist of switches, variable resistors, bit generators, sensors and others. The Company also provides lighting products. The Company distributes its products within domestic market and to overseas markets.
