Frauenthal reported earning results for the third quarter and nine months of 2013. For the third quarter, the company reported profit after tax climbed from EUR 1.1 million to EUR 2.9 million. In the first three quarters of 2013 the company saw the EBIT of the continued business segment drop by 62.4% to EUR 2 million, while the adjusted EBIT (taking into account the sale of the Ahlen utility) slipped by 16.4% to EUR 4.4 million.

For the nine months, the company reported revenue climbed by 10% to EUR 418 million (USD 565 million). The loss after tax widened from EUR 1.7 million last year to EUR 2.5 million in nine months of 2013.
