Today, Glencore published its 2020 Sustainability Report; it is available at: glencore.com/sustainability/reports-and-presentations

The Report aligns with the Global Reporting Index's reporting requirements, and maps to the International Council on Mining & Metals (ICMM) Mining Principles, the United Nationals Global Compact's principles and the reporting requirements of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board's Metals and Mining Sustainability Accounting Standard.

Our 2020 Sustainability Report focuses on the areas identified as material to Glencore, its assets and both its internal and external stakeholders. In addition to providing an overview of the approach, performance and activities during the year for each material topic, we have included case studies on the work undertaken by our commodity departments to drive improved performance in these areas.

In previous years, we produced a separate ESG (environment, social and governance) data book and in 2019, we published a standalone human rights report. Reflecting stakeholder feedback that multiple publications made it difficult to find information, our 2020 Sustainability Report incorporates the content of both of these documents. As this makes it considerably longer than previous versions, the report is fully interactive providing links between key sections and external references.

Our Sustainability Report is part of our suite of publications and platforms focuses on our sustainability-related activities. These include:

  • Modern Slavery Statement
  • Payments to Government Report
  • Climate Report
  • 2020 Review of our Industry Organisations' Positions on Climate Change
  • ESG-AZ resource at glencore.com/sustainability/esg-a-z
  • Tailings Storage Facilities and Water microsites
