The Board of Directors of i-Components Co.,Ltd. (KOSE:A059100) authorized a share repurchase program on February 17, 2009. Under the program, the company repurchase up to KRW 500 million of its shares pursuant to trust agreement with Korea Development Bank. The purpose of the repurchase program is to stabilize stock prices. The repurchases will commence on February 17, 2009 and will end on August 17, 2009. As of February 17, 2009, the company has no shares in treasury.
On August 13, 2009, the company extended its share repurchase program until August 17, 2010.
On August 12, 2010, the company extended its share repurchase program until August 17, 2011.
On August 10, 2011, the company extended its share repurchase program until August 17, 2012. Korea Development Bank, Korea Investment & Securities Co., Ltd., Daewoo Securities Co., Ltd. and Hyundai Securities Co., Ltd. acted as brokers for I-Components Co., Ltd.
i-Components' share repurchase program expired on August 1, 2012. Under the plan, the company has repurchased 184,300 shares.
i-Components Co., Ltd is a Korea-based company principally engaged in the manufacture of optical plastic films. The Companyâs products include coated polycarbonate (PC) and coated polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) films, which are used for the touch screen panels and keypads and windows of mobile phones; coated polyethylene terephthalate (PET) films, which are used in liquid crystal display television back light units (LCD TV BLUs); PC films, which are used for name plates of electronic and electrical equipment, instrument boards used in cars, sport goggles and sun cabs; PMMA films, which are used in display windows, and other products.
