La Comer, S.A.B. De C.V. Announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2020. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was MXN 7,063.978 million compared to MXN 5,403.009 million a year ago. Operating income was MXN 478.237 million compared to MXN 296.364 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 408.765 million compared to MXN 246.395 million a year ago. For the half year, sales was MXN 13,247.889 million compared to MXN 10,324.630 million a year ago. Operating income was MXN 941.958 million compared to MXN 596.188 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 836.682 million compared to MXN 507.041 million a year ago.
La Comer SAB de CV is a Mexico-based company primarily engaged in the food retail sector. The Company focuses on operating self-service stores under La Comer, Fresko, City Market and Sumesa brand names. It sells general grocery products, fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and fish, soft drinks, alcohol, as well as pet food and accessories, among others. Its stores also distribute pharmacy and bakery products, as well as serve ready to eat meals, such as tapas, seafood snack, tortilla, pizza, coffee and cake.
