La Comer, S.A.B. De C.V. Announced earnings results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2020. For the third quarter, the company announced sales was MXN 6,882.549 million compared to MXN 5,518.266 million a year ago. Operating income was MXN 420.109 million compared to MXN 269.214 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 351.724 million compared to MXN 229.562 million a year ago. For the nine months, sales was MXN 20,130.439 million compared to MXN 15,842.896 million a year ago. Operating income was MXN 1,362.069 million compared to MXN 865.402 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 1,188.408 million compared to MXN 736.604 million a year ago.
La Comer SAB de CV is a Mexico-based company primarily engaged in the food retail sector. The Company focuses on operating self-service stores under La Comer, Fresko, City Market and Sumesa brand names. It sells general grocery products, fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and fish, soft drinks, alcohol, as well as pet food and accessories, among others. Its stores also distribute pharmacy and bakery products, as well as serve ready to eat meals, such as tapas, seafood snack, tortilla, pizza, coffee and cake. Furthermore, the Company operates a restaurant, called Jajalpa, where organizes occasional events and meetings.
