LUKOIL STEPS UP IN CDP CLIMATE RATING

​​PJSC LUKOIL announces improvement of its position in the CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) international climate scoring by one notch up to B-.

This improvement was enabled by the development of climate management system, including climate risks and opportunities management, setting a strategic goal on reducing GHG emissions, taking part in legislative initiatives, cooperation with industry unions and associations, as well as information disclosure regarding GHG emissions reduction projects implemented by LUKOIL.

The Company set a goal to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions intensity by 20% by 2030 as compared to 2017 level. This reduction is equivalent to 10 million tons CO2-equivalent. LUKOIL shares the Net Zero by 2050 ambition and will strive achieving it in regards to controlled emissions.​

Information
LUKOIL has been part of the CDP project since 2014. The Company discloses information on the volume of greenhouse gas emissions, emissions management system, key risks and opportunities related to climate change. Since 2017, the accuracy of the information on the volume of GHG emissions is verified by KPMG company.

11/10/2021 -STAVROLEN PLANT STARTS USING SOLAR ENERGY

​LUKOIL continues its work to reduce controlled greenhouse gas emissions at its production facilities. The Company began supplying electricity to its Stavrolen petrochemical plant (Budennovsk, Stavropol region, Russia) from LUKOIL's own solar power plant (SPP) located at its Volgograd refinery. About 11 million kWh are expected to be supplied annually.​

12/07/2021 -LUKOIL RELEASES 2020 SUSTAINABILITY REPORT

PJSC LUKOIL released its Sustainability Report for 2020 prepared in line with the international and industry standards, such as GRI, SASB, UNCTAD and IPIECA. For each area of ESG activities the report includes information about the Company's contribution into the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
