MicroVision Announces Resignation of Thomas M. Walker as Board Member

MicroVision, Inc. announced that on February 19, 2020 Thomas M. Walker resigned from the board of directors. Walker has been a member of MicroVision’s board of directors since November 2013. Prior to that Walker served as Executive Vice President of the company from December 2012 through November 2013 and Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of the company from May 2002 to December 2012.
MicroVision, Inc. is a developer and supplier of lidar hardware and software solutions focused on the automotive lidar and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) markets. It is engaged in micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS)-based laser beam scanning technology that integrates MEMS, lasers, optics, hardware, algorithms and machine learning software into its technology to address existing and emerging markets. Its patented laser beam scanning technology combines a MEMS scanning mirror, laser diode light sources, electronics, and optics that are controlled using its system control algorithms, along with edge computing and machine learning in some systems. It has developed micro-display concepts and designs for use in head-mounted augmented reality (AR) headsets and developed a 1440i MEMS module supporting AR headsets. It also developed an interactive display solution targeted at the smart speakerâs market and a small consumer lidar sensor for use indoors with smart home systems.
