Mitsui Sugar Co., Ltd. (TSE:2109) signed a contract to acquire 20% stake in COFCO Sugar Liaoning Co., Ltd. from Yingkou Northern Sweet Co.,Ltd. for approximately CNY 130 million on December 25, 2018. In a related deal, Cofco Tunhe Sugar Co., Ltd signed a contract to acquire additional 19% stake in COFCO Sugar Liaoning Co., Ltd. from Yingkou Northern Sweet Co.,Ltd. As of December, 2017, COFCO Sugar Liaoning Co., Ltd. reported total assets of CNY 1.7 billion and net assets of CNY 211 million. For the year ending December 2017, COFCO Sugar Liaoning Co., Ltd. reported revenues of CNY 4.3 billion and net profit of CNY 35 million. The corporate resolution date of the deal is December 25, 2018 and settlement date is mid January 2019.
