Jailen Burrell from Upland, CA, learns he is a scholarship recipient of the Jordan Brand Wings Scholars Program.
The Jordan Brand Wings Scholars Program launched in 2015 and helps students realize their true potential through higher education. Working with more than 30 global partners, the Jordan Brand Wings Scholars Program identifies committed, primarily first-generation students and provides scholarships and resources to help reduce barriers so that they can complete their studies without the stress of college debt.
In 2020, students went through unprecedented circumstances in their schooling, with many relegated to studying from home, absent from memorable in-person events, all while trying to navigate the next steps of their high school careers. Today, in light of these students' bravery and courage, the Jordan Brand Wings Scholars Program is awarding 31 students across North America with scholarships to the university of their choice or any post-secondary education program, forming the seventh cohort of students that Jordan Brand has supported.
Jordan Brand Wings Scholars Program: Behind The Numbers

• Total semesters funded: 15,776
• Hours volunteered by employees: 111,500+
Channeling the spirit of the coronating moment for this year's high school seniors, the Air Jordan 5 Low celebrates the Wings initiative with gilded accents and graduation-themed features. Embroidery on the inside of each tongue - and across both lateral heels - honors the class of 2020 and 2021, while a subtle lace adornment mimics a graduation cap tassel. Graphics on each insole resemble the seal of a diploma.
