Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Al Abri, Chief Technology and Information Officer (CTIO) of Ooredoo, joined the Oman Youth Leadership Forum, an event which aims to inspire the next generation of change-makers. Participating in a panel to discuss youth leadership in Oman and beyond, led by Dr Ali Al Lawati, Founding President of Royal Academy of Administration, Dr. Ahmed outlined his passion to inspire young Omani people for a better future and oopurtunities. He also mentioned the leadership experiences of successeful SMEs and enterprenuers. Held by the Faculty of Business and Economics at the German University of Technology in Oman (GU Tech), the forum aims to enhance students' leadership skills and connect them with their most admired role models in business, academia and wider society.

"Oman has a young demographic, and so being able to provide guidance and insight that might help them to shape the country's future and ensure its sustainable economic and social growth, is so important. Ooredoo also plays a role in this, by supporting youth-centred initiatives. The forum was a wonderful opportunity to meet the students and engage with the next generation of great minds, who will change society and challenge us to do better," said Dr. Ahmed.

Playing a key role in Oman's 2040 Vision as both a leader in its digital transformation and by promoting digital leadership through technology, Ooredoo offers and supports a range of educational and development initiatives. These entrepreneurship training programs Springboard and Spring Forward, the FURSA Business Opportunity Platform, which provides a space for young entrepreneurs to pitch to potential investors. There's also their Digital Tutorial App; the first-ever comprehensive learning platform in Oman, the Ruwaad graduate recruitment programme, and the government-led national leadership programme, Etimad.
