Oriole Resources PLC - West Africa-focused gold exploration company - Renews exploration licence for the Senala gold project, Senegal. The new licence is valid for a period of three years from February 17. Oriole says that the surface area of the licence has been reduced by 25% to comply with the Senegalese mining code, and now stands at 354.5 kilometres squared.

Oriole notes that in February, AGEM Senegal Exploration Suarl, a subsidiary of the Moroccan mining company Managem Group, completed a six-year USD5.8 million earn-in for Senala, granting it a roughly 59% beneficial interest.
