OX2 AB announced that it has been awarded a contract to manage the 90-MW Murtomaki wind farm in Finland. The firm said it had been selected to provide technical, commercial and financial management services on behalf of the wind farm's owner, Nordics-focused Alandsbanken Wind Power Fund. The Murtomaki site is located outside the Finnish town of Pyhajarvi.

Alandsbanked ordered 15 pieces of Vestas V162-6.0 MW wind turbines for the project. The wind farm is expected to be up and running in the third quarter of 2023. For OX2, Murtomaki is the ninth externally built wind farm that will benefit from its technical and commercial management.

The firm is providing these services for some 3.6 GW of wind farms in Sweden, Finland, Lithuania and Poland, it says.
