Peel Hotels Plc reported unaudited group earnings results for the half year ended August 13, 2017. For the half year, the company's revenue was £8,648,145 compared to £9,115,526 a year ago. Operating profit was £604,556 compared to £880,119 a year ago. Profit before tax was £319,293 compared to £592,807 a year ago. Profit and total comprehensive income for the period attributable to owners was £255,437 compared to £474,246 a year ago. Basic & diluted earnings per share were 1.8 pence compared to 3.4 pence a year ago. Net cash from operating activities was £1,069,995 compared to £1,715,200 a year ago. Acquisition of property, plant and equipment was £369,516 compared to £421,216 a year ago. On 13 August 2017 net debt stood at £9,159,332 representing loans totaling £9,582,625 less £423,293 cash at bank.

The company plan to spend £700,000 in this financial year 2018 on strategy of continually improving the standards offered in portfolio of hotels and maintaining the fabric of buildings.
