PI Industries Limited reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended September 30, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was INR 17,700 million compared to INR 13,542 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 18,017 million compared to INR 13,819 million a year ago. Net income was INR 3,348 million compared to INR 2,296 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 22.07 compared to INR 15.15 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 22.06 compared to INR 15.14 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was INR 33,132 million compared to INR 25,480 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 33,725 million compared to INR 26,034 million a year ago. Net income was INR 5,972 million compared to INR 4,168 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 39.37 compared to INR 27.49 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 39.35 compared to INR 27.48 a year ago.
PI Industries Limited is a holding company. The Company is engaged in the manufacturing and distribution of agro chemicals. The Company operates through two segments: Agro chemicals, and Pharma. The Agro chemicals segment includes Agchem exports (CSM) and Domestic Agri Brands. The Pharma segment comprises contract research and development, contract development and manufacturing of active. It also includes materials and intermediates used in the pharmaceutical industry. The Company offers services, such as research and development services, CSM services, distribution services. The research and development services comprise target, discovery, molecule design, library synthesis, lead optimization, biological evaluation and route synthesis. It also provides Shield (fungicide) and Londax Power (rice herbicide) products. It offers services in areas, such as contract research, process development, analytical method development, process safety data generation and detailed process engineering.
