Prosus N.V. announced the change will come into effect starting September 1, 2023. As part of the reshuffle, Larry Illg, who was acting as the chief executive of the combined segment (food delivery and edtech), will be stepping down, with two leaders announced for these segments. Roger Rabalais, who was earlier the chief financial officer for the food delivery and edtech segments, will be taking over as the chief executive officer (CEO) of the food segment.

Gautam Thakar, the chief executive of OLX Autos, has been appointed as the CEO of Prosus' global edtech vertical. Both leaders will report directly to Bob van Dijk, CEO, Prosus. With the transition, Rabalis and Thakar are expected to be appointed as Prosus's representatives on the boards of its investee companies across the edtech and food delivery segments, such as Swiggy etc.

Prosus has investments across global food-delivery giants, including Delivery Hero and Flink in Germany, Oda in Norway and Swiggy in India, among others. It also directly operates Brazilian foodtech giant iFood after announcing that it would be acquiring the remaining stake in the company. In the edtech segment, it has investments across global learning companies such as Udemy, Stack Overflow, Skillsoft, Brainly, and counts Byju's and Eruditus amongst its India portfolio.

In June, Prosus confirmed the resignation of its representative from the board of Byju's.
