Business Summary

PT Citra Borneo Utama Tbk. is an Indonesia-based company, which is engaged in the downstream palm oil industry by producing and selling palm oil derivative products, such as Refined Bleached Deodorized Palm Oil (RBDPO), Palm Fatty Acid Distillate (PFAD), Olein, Stearin, Crude Palm Kernel Oil (CPKO) and Palm Kernel Expeller (PKE). RBDPO is a Crude Palm Oil (CPO) that has undergone a bleaching process, removal of free fatty acids and unpleasant odor. RBDPO can then be processed into Olein and Stearin products. PFAD is a by-product of the CPO refinery process. The components in PFAD are free fatty acids, carotenoid components, and other volatile compounds. PKE is one of the by-products produced from the process of crushing and absorbing oil from palm kernels. PKE is a powder, such as soil and is used as animal feed because it contains high levels of crude protein. Olein is the liquid fraction obtained by the RBDPO fractionation process after crystallization at controlled temperatures.
