Gazprom Neft and the Government of the Stavropolsky Krai are developing their cooperation in replacing imported lubricants, as well as increasing deliveries of high-tech bitumens, under a new partnership agreement signed by Gazprom Neft CEO Alexander Dyukov and Stavropolsky Krai Governor Vladimir Vladimirov.

The company's collaboration with the region has been ongoing since 2015 - during which time deliveries of Gazprom Neft bitumen products to the Stavropolsky Krai have seen a more than twofold increase, with Russian lubricants' market share among businesses in the region now standing at more than 60%.

Consumption of Gazprom Neft's motor oils and specialist lubricants comes mainly from the local economy's agriculture, automotive transport and industrial sectors. Building and servicing highways infrastructure in the region uses around 10,000 tonnes of high-tech Gazprom Neft bitumens, every year. This new agreement facilitates increasing deliveries of high-tech bitumens to the Stavropolsky Krai - mainly polymer-bitumen binders specially adapted to the region's climate and transport loads, ensuring the quality and reliability of road surfaces.

"We have been collaborating with the Stavropolsky Krai since 2015, and are seeing a tangible effect on the region's economy. For example, Stavropol's huge agriculture industry uses modern equipment: the move away from imported lubricants to high-quality, more accessible Russian products is allowing agricultural enterprises to cut servicing costs. We're seeing this effect across a whole range of other industries in the local economy - in the transport, energy and construction sectors. Shipments of our high-tech bitumen products, used on roads subject to various climatic and traffic-load conditions, are also seeing considerable growth. This new agreement confirms our, and the Stavropolsky Krai's, commitment to further developing our cooperation in meeting local businesses' increasing demand for lubricants and bitumen materials."
