Work on expanding distributor partnerships throughout countries in Europe and the Middle East delivered a 10% increase in sales of Russian oils abroad. Lubricant supply contracts in Austria, Myanmar, Qatar and Oman were entered into for the first time in 2021, with the most sought-after products on the international markets being high-tech motor oils and industrial (hydraulic and gear-system) lubricants for production and manufacturing equipment. Sales of lubricants for specialist equipment were also up - by 86% among Russian businesses, and 38% internationally.

"We're seeing a clear trend - across all sectors - in demand moving in favour of modern synthetic oils. This year has seen premium lubricants accounting for 59% of total sales - a 9% increase on 2020 levels. We are continuing our implementation of a crucial project for Russian industry - building our hydro-isodewaxing complex in Omsk - which will increase market supplies of our high-tech synthetic oils."
