Sakai Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. Announces Introduction of Solar Power Generation Facilities

Sakai Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. announced that they have decided to introduce a solar power generation system based on the PPA model at the Onahama Manufacturing Site's Otsurugi Plant to provide a part of the factory's electricity needs. In an effort for the Company to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, goal is to reduce CO2 emissions by 30% by 2030 compared to the fiscal 2013 levels. As part of this effort, they have decided to introduce a solar power generation system at the Daiken Plant.
These efforts will not only reduce CO2 emissions but will also enable to more easily secure communications infrastructure and the power to resume operations even in the event of infrastructure disruption due to a large-scale disaster. While considering the expansion to other plants in the future, they will continue to work on utilizing renewable energy and realizing a sustainable society.
