For the year, the company expects net sales to be JPY 85,000 million, operating profit to be JPY 5,500 million and profit attributable to owners of parent to be JPY 4,200 million or JPY 259.58 per basic share.

Medical segment is involved in the manufacture and sale of pharmaceuticals and quasi drugs. Main products include barium X-ray contrast media, medical drugs for peptic ulcer & reflux esophagitis, general drugs such as cold and gastrointestinal drugs, functional foods, as well as other products such as medical devices, among others.
