Seprod Limited announced earnings results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2019. For the third quarter, the company announced sales was JMD 8,194.846 million compared to JMD 4,857.276 million a year ago. Operating income was JMD 650.893 million compared to JMD 639.337 million a year ago. Net income was JMD 155.628 million compared to JMD 386.260 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was JMD 0.21 compared to JMD 0.82 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was JMD 0.21 compared to JMD 0.75 a year ago. For the nine months, sales was JMD 24,797.566 million compared to JMD 14,701.888 million a year ago. Operating income was JMD 2,209.200 million compared to JMD 1,988.387 million a year ago. Net income was JMD 802.845 million compared to JMD 1,048.776 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was JMD 1.58 compared to JMD 2.41 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was JMD 1.09 compared to JMD 2.03 a year ago.

The Manufacturing segment includes the operations of manufacturing and sale of oils and fats, corn and wheat products, cereals, milk products, juices, and biscuits. The Distribution segment is engaged in the merchandising of consumer goods. The Company offers its products under various brands, such as Betty, Butterkist, Chef, Chiffon, Cool Fruit, Delite, Eve, Gold Seal, Golden Grove, Miracle, Pronto, Serge, Supligen and Uncle Samâs. The Company's subsidiaries include Serge Island Dairies Limited, which is engaged in manufacture and sale of milk products and juices; International Biscuits Limited, which is engaged in manufacture and sale of biscuit products; Caribbean Products Company Limited, which is involved in the manufacture and sale of oils and fats, and Facey Commodity Holdings Limited, which is engaged in Investment activities.
