Shin-Etsu Polymer Co.,Ltd. (TSE:7970) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase 500,000 shares, representing 0.61% of the outstanding shares for ¥550 million. The purpose of the program is to use shares for the exercise of stock options. The program will run until December 31, 2018. As of September 30, 2018, the company had 81,635,444 shares outstanding and 987,932 shares in treasury.
Shin-Etsu Polymer Co.,Ltd. is a Japan-based company primarily engaged in the manufacture and sale of electronic devices, precision moldings, as well as dwelling environment and living materials. The Company operates in three business segments. The Electronic Device segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of input devices, display related devices and component related products. The Precise Molded Item segment manufactures and sells semiconductor related containers and carrier tape related products, office automation equipment parts and silicon rubber molding products.
