Nov 2 (Reuters) - U.S. amusement park operator Cedar Fair agreed to merge with peer Six Flags Entertainment in a $8 billion deal on Thursday, in a move to fortify their business amid a slowdoen in consumer spending.

The companies said that the deal's pro-forma enterprise value of about $8 billion was based on both companies' debt and equity values. (Reporting by Savyata Mishra; Editing by Savio D'Souza)
