NIESTETAL (dpa-AFX) - After solar technology manufacturer SMA Solar raised its forecast for 2023 several times, the North Hesse-based company will present its detailed balance sheet figures for the past fiscal year on Wednesday. CEO Jürgen Reinert and CFO Barbara Gregor will report on business development and provide an outlook for the current year at the digital annual press conference starting at 10:00 a.m.

According to preliminary figures, the good demand for solar systems and the normalization of supply chains have led to a strong increase in sales and earnings for the Group based in Niestetal (Kassel district) in the past year. Most recently, the Management Board expected an increase in turnover of 78.6 percent to 1.9 billion euros and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of 311 million euros (previous year: 70 million euros).

At the bottom line, the company expected a profit of 225.7 million euros after 55.8 million euros in the previous year. For the current year, SMA recently anticipated a weakening development./nis/DP/zb
