Baillie Gifford & Co, acting on behalf of clients and funds under its management, declared to the AMF that on May 14 it had exceeded the threshold of 5% of Soitec's voting rights, following the acquisition of shares on the market.

The Scottish company, acting as discretionary investment manager, said it held 2,299,863 Soitec shares representing the same number of voting rights, i.e. 6.44% of the capital and 5.05% of the voting rights of the semiconductor materials supplier.
