The Sumitomo Warehouse Co., Ltd. (TSE:9303) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase 1,500,000 shares, representing 1.79% of its share capital, for ¥3,000 million. The company will repurchase its shares in order to improve capital efficiency and enhance shareholder returns. The program will run until March 12, 2021. As of October 31, 2020, the company had 83,608,113 shares outstanding (excluding treasury shares) and 778,502 shares in treasury.
Sumitomo Warehouse Co Ltd is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the integrated logistics business. The Company operates through three business segments. The Logistics segment is engaged in the warehousing, harbor transportation, international transportation and land transportation, as well as the development of software related to its logistics business. The Marine Transportation segment is engaged in the freight transportation using ships, and the operation of marine transportation agents. The Real Estate segment is engaged in the trading, leasing and management of business offices and lands.
