The Sumitomo Warehouse Co., Ltd. (TSE:9303) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to 1,500,000 shares, representing 1.83% of its issued share capital (excluding treasury stock), for a total purchase price of ¥2,500 million. The purpose of the program is to enhance shareholder returns and improve capital efficiency. The program will continue through March 11, 2022. As of April 30, 2021, the company had 82,125,424 issued shares (excluding treasury stock) and 761,191 treasury shares.
Sumitomo Warehouse Co Ltd is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the integrated logistics business. The Company operates through three business segments. The Logistics segment is engaged in the warehousing, harbor transportation, international transportation and land transportation, as well as the development of software related to its logistics business. The Marine Transportation segment is engaged in the freight transportation using ships, and the operation of marine transportation agents.
