Tofu Restaurant Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced total revenue was TWD 311.413 million compared to TWD 391.606 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 26.775 million compared to operating Income of TWD 48.754 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 6.365 million compared to TWD 53.826 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.28 compared to TWD 2.39 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was TWD 0.27 compared to TWD 2.32 a year ago. For the half year, total revenue was TWD 819.002 million compared to TWD 772.760 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 48.756 million compared to TWD 93.997 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 66.229 million compared to TWD 90.493 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 2.91 compared to TWD 4.05 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was TWD 2.81 compared to TWD 3.86 a year ago.
Tofu Restaurant Co., Ltd. is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the Korean chain restaurant business. The Company has two business segments, catering segment and others segment. The Company operates six brands in Taiwan, namely Dubu House, Hanjinmapu, Tongpan, Beichun Tofu Home, Dubu Dubu and HanJeongSigâs Kitchenette, which are mainly engaged in the provision of Korean tofu, copper plate barbecue, baked streaky, drinks, desserts and other meals. The Companyâs sales market is mainly dominated by Taiwan.
