TotalEnergies announces that it has signed a cooperation agreement with the Indian group ONGC to conduct methane emissions detection and measurement campaigns using AUSEA (Airborne Ultralight Spectrometer for Environmental Applications).

Embedded in a drone, this pioneering TotalEnergies technology consists of a dual sensor capable of detecting and quantifying methane and carbon dioxide emissions while identifying the source of these emissions.

ONGC joins a growing number of national companies that have signed agreements with the French energy group to use AUSEA, including Petrobras in Brazil, SOCAR in Azerbaijan, Sonangol in Angola and NNPCL in Nigeria.
