Transpacific Broadband Group International, Inc. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2019. For the second quarter, the company announced total revenue was PHP 9.547 million compared to PHP 10.023 million a year ago. Operating loss was PHP 1.029 million compared to operating Income of PHP 242,904 a year ago. Net loss was PHP 1.276 million compared to PHP 107,341 a year ago. For the half year, total revenue was PHP 18.877 million compared to PHP 19.245 million a year ago. Operating loss was PHP 1.329 million compared to operating Income of PHP 245,379 a year ago. Net loss was PHP 1.782 million compared to PHP 285,326 a year ago. Basic loss per share was PHP 0.008 compared to PHP 0.0013 a year ago.
Transpacific Broadband Group International, Inc. is a Philippines-based telecommunications and broadcasting company. The Company is engaged in the business of public commercial radio, terrestrial, cable, and satellite broadcast. The Company has one reportable operating segment, which is the broadband and Internet services. Its services include provision for uplink services, very small aperture terminal (VSAT)-based Internet service, wireless networking, hosting, and content conversion. The Company focuses on Internet, Intranet, and local loop service subscriptions for schools, corporate private sector, and government agencies. It sells data services to subscriber schools for Internet connectivity and virtual private network connectivity, and video uplink services to local and foreign Broadband service providers and TV channels. It provides Internet over Satellite connectivity via C-band Satellite and Kacific Ka-band Satellite, which both cover the continent of Asia and Australia.
