The integrated services company keeps growing in Vaca Muerta and has doubled its condensate products' treatment capacity at its Tratayén plant, located at the heart of the Neuquen basin.

tgs keeps expanding its midstream operations in the province of Neuquén, where it is carrying out new works at its facilities located in Tratayén, which will significantly increase the plant's capacity, allowing it to receive growing volumes of natural gas through its own Vaca Muerta pipeline.

This investment will ensure a more stable operation of tgs' Vaca Muerta System, thanks to the stabilization of natural gas condensate products as well as an increase in the system's gathering capacity from 600 m3/day to 1,400 m3/day.

"In spite of the many difficulties presented by the pandemic, we keep working to promote the energetic development of our country. This expansion further consolidates our positioning as a leading company in the rendering of midstream services in Neuquén and strengthens our decision to assist our clients with creative solutions throughout all the links of the natural gas value chain", stated Oscar Sardi, CEO of tgs.

It is worth mentioning that in 2018 tgs invested 300 million dollars in Vaca Muerta for the construction of a 150 km pipeline that goes across 30 production areas of the field, which will allow the transportation of up to 60 MMm3/d, conditioned at the plant built at Tratayén, to be injected into the main natural gas transportation systems.

Last year -strengthening its presence as a midstream services company in Vaca Muerta- tgs entered an agreement with Shell for the rendering of gas dehydration, filtering, regulation and measurement services, by means of the construction and operation of a plant at the Bajada de Añelo field, block that Shell operates jointly with YPF as partners.
