Unilever Canada has launched a loyalty app called Leap Rewards aimed at helping consumers save money on purchases of responsibly made brand products while offering rewards to help the consumer's community and the plant.

The free loyalty app allows consumers to earn points and "do good" rewards as well as save on purchases and provides content for educating consumers on sustainable practices, according to a press release.

"Our research identified that Canadians rank climate change and the cost of living as two of their top five everyday concerns. The Leap Rewards app was created to help Canadian shoppers with both of these concerns in tandem. Leap Rewards is a simple way for shoppers to benefit from savings while taking little everyday actions that can collectively benefit our planet and communities," Robin Hassan, director of digital marketing, media and commerce, Unilever Canada, said in the release.

Unilever is a worldwide supplier of beauty, well being, personal care, home care, nutrition and ice cream products. It has sales in over 190 countries and products used by 3.4 billion people with 148,000 employees.
