(Alliance News) - Valsoia Spa on Wednesday announced that it is in the process of expanding its range of 100 percent vegetable ice creams, with the new Gran Stecco Triplo Pistacchio and Gran Stecco Croccantino lines, on sale in large-scale retail and the horeca channel.

"The launch of the new ice cream varieties, in addition to high investments in TV communication, is supported by an innovative promotional campaign involving four of Italy's most vibrant and touristic cities: Bologna, Cesenatico, Milan and Rimini," reads the company note.

"An iconic Ape car driving around the streets of the cities involved, branded Valsoia, is the star of this initiative. More than 100,000 free samples of the new "Gran Stecco" are distributed to lucky passers-by, giving each of them an unforgettable experience of pure pleasure," the company statement continues.

This initiative is accompanied by a poster campaign on the beaches of the Romagna Riviera promoting the sale of the full range of Valsoia ice creams.

Valsoia trades in the red by 2.0 percent at EUR9.02 per share.
