Vinci has announced that the Georgia State Highway Authority (SRTA) has awarded VINCI Highways, a subsidiary of VINCI Concessions, a contract to manage transactions on its 107 km network around Atlanta, using free flow and 'dynamic pricing', i.e. a pricing system that changes according to the time of day and the number of vehicles on the highway.

Vinci specifies that the contract also includes transaction management for the 'E-ZPass' program, which is interoperable with the highway networks of 18 other U.S. states and with parking facilities at Atlanta International Airport.

The 7-year contract will be operated by ViaPlus, a VINCI Highways subsidiary specializing in free-flow traffic systems.

Also in Texas, VINCI Highways has won the contract to provide video image review services for the Harris County Highway Traffic Authority (HCTRA), which operates a free-flow network serving Houston and the surrounding area.

The contract, for a period of 19 months with several extension options, aims to optimize the authority's toll collection using the optical recognition plate reading system developed by ViaPlus.

The total value of these two contracts is around 53 million euros.
