Walgreens Boots Alliance : Names Puryear to Follow Wilson-Thompson as HR Head

Walgreens Boots Alliance's chief human resources officer, Kathleen Wilson-Thompson, will retire in January and will be succeeded by Pamela Puryear, the company said Monday.

Ms. Puryear joins Deerfield, Ill.-based Walgreens, which operates pharmacies, from Zimmer Biomet Holdings Inc., where she was the chief human-resources officer. Previously, she was chief talent officer for Pfizer Inc. She will start the job with Walgreens on Jan. 18.

Ms. Wilson-Thompson has been with Walgreens since 2010.
