Wallenstam is acquiring land from the City of Gothenburg at Carlandersplatsen in central Gothenburg, where the plan is to build about 200 apartments. Construction start is expected to occur during 2022.

"It will be really great to start this project and contribute to the development of Gothenburg. It will be a good addition of 200 new homes in a central and fine location," says Marina Fritsche, Vice CEO of Wallenstam.

Wallenstam plans to construct two buildings with about 200 apartments in total and which will contain commercial floor space on the ground floor facing Carlandersplatsen. The construction will be designed in harmony with the undulating terrain and existing buildings.

The purchase relates to the property Göteborg Lorensberg 21:3 and the purchase price amounts to about SEK 60 million. The property will be taken into possession today, December 1, 2020.
