SYDNEY--Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has welcomed news of a two-week cease-fire in the Middle East, saying it was consistent with his calls for de-escalation.
Still, Albanese said President Trump's rhetoric around Iran ahead of the cease-fire announcement was "inappropriate."
"I don't think it's appropriate to use language like that by the president of the United States... The conduct of any conflict must be within international law," Albanese said in a television interview.
