OTTAWA, May 14 (Reuters) - Canada on Thursday unveiled a C$1 trillion strategy to double the capacity of the country's electricity grid by 2050, citing the rapid increase in demand for power and the need for energy security. As part of the strategy, the government aims to change clean electricity regulations to allow greater use of credible offsets and also enable greater flexibility for existing natural gas powered units to maintain reliability.
