The District Court has dismissed requests from major creditor Infiniteria and the Swedish Tax Agency to terminate the corporate restructuring of environmental technology firm Scandinavian Enviro, Dagens industri reports.

Infiniteria, a joint venture between Enviro and private equity firm Antin, argued that the restructuring lacked any prospect of success and described the company's future plans as 'completely unrealistic'. Simultaneously, the Swedish Tax Agency stated it had lost confidence in Enviro's management.

However, the District Court did not share this assessment, ruling that Enviro has presented sufficient evidence to demonstrate that the restructuring remains viable at this stage.

The dispute stems from Enviro's decision to terminate its agreements with Infiniteria shortly after the creditors' meeting. Infiniteria has since filed a preliminary claim for damages amounting to approximately 84 million euros against Enviro. According to the court, issues regarding the indemnity claim and the feasibility of a restructuring plan are currently premature. The ruling may be appealed within three weeks.
