:: Israeli emergency responders inspect a Tel Aviv site damaged by an Iranian strike

:: Local reports say three buildings were heavily damaged, but there were no official reports of casualties

Israel's police and emergency responders on Tuesday (March 24) morning gathered at a site in Tel Aviv which sustained considerable damage after Iran launched multiple waves of missiles at Israel, according to the Israeli military.

Three buildings were heavily damaged and several cars wrecked, according to local reports. As of Tuesday morning, there were no official reports of casualties as the Israeli army said search and rescue forces were deployed to several areas in the country's central area.

The missiles triggered air raid sirens in parts of Israel, including Tel Aviv where blasts from interceptions were heard. In one attack, homes in northern Israel were damaged by falling debris following an interception. No deaths were reported.

Iran has effectively closed the key strait, a conduit for about 20% of the world's oil and liquefied natural gas, since the U.S. and Israel launched their war on February 28. More than 2,000 people have been killed in the war.
