MOSCOW, April 28 - Russia's biggest listed agricultural company, Rusagro, said on Tuesday it had provided its workers in the Belgorod region, which borders Ukraine, with bulletproof vests and helmets in the face of frequent attacks during the conflict.
The company also said on its Telegram channel it had provided camouflage nets to cover agricultural machines working in the fields.
Rusagro said last week it had shut down three pig farms in the region, citing high risks to farm personnel as the reason for the decision. In 2024, seven farm workers in the region were killed by drones while being transported to the farms. The region is a major producer of meat, grain, and sugar.
