Technology company Sivers Semiconductors has entered into a development partnership worth 1.5 million dollars with Tachyon Networks regarding a 60 GHz mmWave transceiver for the Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) market.
The collaboration is designed to bolster Tachyon's unified platform for 28 GHz and 60 GHz solutions, meeting the rising demand for high-capacity links in dense urban environments and enterprise networks.
'This partnership reflects a deepening relationship with a customer that is already successful in the FWA market,' says Harish Krishnaswamy, Managing Director of Sivers Wireless.
The Sivers Semiconductors executive continued:
'By extending our collaboration to 60 GHz, we are providing customers with a faster, lower-risk path to scalable mmWave deployment, while building on proven technology already deployed in the field.'
