HAMBURG, May 13 (Reuters) - South Korea's Feed Leaders Committee (FLC) is believed to have made no purchase in an international tender for up to 65,000 metric tons of animal feed wheat on Wednesday, European traders said.

Prices were regarded as too high following an overnight surge in U.S. futures in Chicago following forecasts of a reduced U.S. harvest, they said. [GRA/TEND]

The lowest outright price offer was believed to be $298.50 ton cost and freight (c&f) included plus a $2.00 a ton surcharge for additional port unloading said to have been submitted by trading house Cargill for the full 65,000 tons.

Arrival in South Korea was sought in one consignment around August 31.

The wheat could be sourced from any worldwide origins excluding Russia, Argentina, China, Pakistan and Denmark. Black Sea loading ports in Russia and Ukraine should not be used for wheat sourced from any origins.

Reports reflect assessments from traders and further estimates of prices and volumes are still possible later.
