T-Mobile agreed to form two strategic fiber joint ventures, with planned investments totaling $2.7 billion.

One 50/50 partnership with Oak Hill Capital will acquire and combine GoNetspeed and Greenlight Networks, while the other is with Wren House to acquire i3 Broadband.

The two 50/50 partnerships will expand T-Mobile's fiber footprint, the broadband provider said Tuesday.

T-Mobile expects to invest $2 billion in the Oak Hill deal to acquire 50% equity interest in the JV and all existing residential fiber customers.

The deal with Oak Hill, a private equity firm, will expand T-Mobile's offerings to residential customers primarily in the Northeast. It is expected to close in the first half of 2027.

T-Mobile plans to invest $700 million in the Wren House JV, which is expected to close in the second half of 2026.

Wren House's partnership is expected to pass 500,000 households by the end of 2026 across markets including Missouri, Illinois and Rhode Island.
