"It's a really good way to enjoy the weather and the cherry blossoms for sure."

In Japan, cherry blossom season is synonymous with "Hanami" - Japanese for "flower viewing". The traditional pastime draws crowds to well-known spots where cherry trees grow, including Tokyo's iconic Ueno Park, which gets covered in swathes of pink and white during this period in springtime.

While some opt to sit under the trees in parks, the river cruise offers passengers a full-on view of the capital's centrally located Meguro River's iconic cherry blossom trees in just about an hour for $31.29 (5,000 yen) per person.
