AOI Electronics Co., Ltd. (TSE:6832) signed a definitive agreement to acquire Renesas High Components, Inc. and partial sales business from Renesas Eastern Japan Semiconductor, Inc. in cash on October 12, 2012. AOI Electronics acquired 0.18 million shares of Renesas High Components. Renesas High Components reported for the fiscal year ended March, 2012, net sales of ¥5.96 billion, total assets of ¥3.48 billion, ordinary income of ¥368 million, operating income of ¥375 million, net income of ¥464 million and net assets of ¥996 million. Partial sales business reported for the fiscal year ended March, 2012, sales of ¥5.89 billion, gross operating income of ¥396 million, ordinary income of ¥168 million and operating income of ¥222 million. The Board of Directors of Renesas passed a resolution as on October 11, 2012. The transaction is expected to be complete on January 1, 2013.
AOI Electronics Co., Ltd. (TSE:6832) completed the acquisition of Renesas High Components, Inc. and partial sales business from Renesas Eastern Japan Semiconductor, Inc. January 1, 2013. AOI Electronics Co., Ltd. will settle the consideration by cash from their own capital on January 4, 2013. The name of Renesas High Components was changed to High Components Aomori Co., Ltd.
AOI ELECTRONICS CO.,LTD. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of electronic components. The Integrated Circuit (IC) division is engaged in the production and sale of ICs, modules, IC cards, hybrid ICs, optical sensors and light-emitting diode (LED) products, as well as the plating processing of IC production. The Functional Parts division produces and sells print heads, various sensors and chip network resistors.
