DoorDash : Giant Eagle Offers Additional Grocery Delivery Options Through Expanded DoorDash Partnership

DoorDash customers can now order items for same-day delivery in as fast as an hour from Giant Eagle and Market District through the DoorDash Marketplace app or website

Giant Eagle announced today that it has expanded its partnership with DoorDash, the local commerce platform, to make on-demand grocery delivery available through all corporate Giant Eagle supermarkets and Market District locations across Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, and West Virginia. This expansion comes after Giant Eagle and DoorDash first partnered in 2022 to pilot the service in select stores in Ohio. Now, consumers can utilize DoorDash to order groceries and daily essentials to be delivered the same day in under an hour, on average*, directly to their door from all Giant Eagle and Market District locations.

This expanded partnership helps to ensure that customers across all our markets have access to our supermarkets regardless of how they choose to shop with us."

Millions of consumers shop in DoorDash's convenience and grocery categories each month. There are more than 150,000 non-restaurant stores already on DoorDash's Marketplace and Drive platforms and more than 99 percent of DoorDash's monthly consumers in the U.S. have access to a grocery and convenience retailer.

Giant Eagle offers customers high-quality fresh produce, meat, and seafood along with household essentials, and convenience items. Customers who are interested in ordering from Giant Eagle or Market District can do so on-demand through the DoorDash Marketplace mobile app or website. Additionally, Giant Eagle's myPerks loyalty program can be connected through the DoorDash app experience so members can continue to earn rewards when they shop through DoorDash. With this seamless integration, Giant Eagle customers can use their existing Advantage Card information when shopping the DoorDash Marketplace.

All participating Giant Eagle locations will be available on DashPass, DoorDash's membership program that offers members $0 delivery fee, reduced service fees, and member-only benefits on eligible orders from thousands of restaurants, grocery, and convenience stores nationwide.**
