SEATTLE (January 19, 2023) - Expedia Group is pleased to share the recent appointment of Greg Schulze, Senior Vice President of Strategic Travel Partners, to the U.S. Travel and Tourism Advisory Board (TTAB) by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina M. Raimondo. Schulze's two-year appointment commenced on January 10, 2023.

With more than two decades of experience in the travel industry, Schulze brings a unique perspective to the board by offering broad global insight and a deep understanding of the power of technology on tourism. Since joining Expedia Group in 2005, Schulze and his team have created integrated strategies for all areas of travel, including hotels, airlines, car rentals and cruises. This includes management of global relationships and operations with partners. Schulze is also an active member of several boards, including the US-ASEAN Business Council.

"I'm honored to represent Expedia Group on the U.S. Travel and Tourism Advisory Board and contribute to the crucial work of growing U.S. tourism," said Schulze. "I am particularly looking forward to working with the board on policy issues around sustainability and inclusion, as they are important areas of focus for Expedia Group and our partners."

Expedia Group's continued participation on the board aligns with the company's overarching mission to enable stronger connections, broaden horizons and bridge divides through travel. Schulze is the latest member of Expedia Group to serve on the board, which was recently represented by Peter Kern, Vice Chairman and CEO; and Rob Torres, Senior Vice President, Expedia Group Media Solutions.

Founded in 2003, TTAB members advise the Secretary of Commerce on how government policies and programs affect the travel and tourism industry and offer counsel on current and emerging issues to support sustainable growth of the travel and tourism industry as our nation's economic engine. In 2022, inbound tourism to the United States accounted for 9.5 million jobs and $1.9 trillion in economic activity.
